Cowboy Nolan and his Trusty Steed

The missionary returns

Saturday Night Kevin Orr came home from his mission. He is the first missionary to serve a mission from our ward in the 8 years we have lived in Winnipeg. He used to baby sit Nolan when he was just a wee thing and for the last two years Nolan has talked about Kevin often and he has been a great example for us when we were teaching Nolan about being a missionary.

Welcome Home Kevin!

Jarom's Prayer

Yesterday during family prayer it was Jarom's turn to say the prayer. He was blessing everyone in our family; he blessed daddy at work, Nolan at school, Jarom at school and then when he came to mom he paused for a bit and said "bless mommy at the stores".

My grade Two-er

September will forever be a sad month in our lives, it means back to school. I love having my kids home with me and being able to go and do fun things with them all the time. Although I know school is a good thing and that they must go, I always want to keep them home. Nolan wasn't any happier to be going back then I was to have him go; but he ways runs out of the school with a smile on his face, so it can't be all that bad. I'm sure being surrounded by his friends has something to do with it.

A -mazing Corn

A couple of week-ends ago we went to the Corn Maze. We had to run around the maze collecting stamps from different signs posted throughout the maze. It was really fun but with all the twists, turns and loops we found ourselves lost many times. The kids had a great time running around and in the end the most entertaining thing was for them to hide in the corn and jump out and scare each other.

Once we finished the maze there was a petting zoo and a huge pile of hay bales for the kids to climb up on.

It was the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon!!!

Happy Birthday Annie!!!!

Ok, Annie has been bugging me to update my blog. Secretly I think she just wants me to write lots and lots of wonderful thing about her, so here it goes...

Friday was Annie's birthday and after many obstacles we were able to get together to celebrate the wonderful person that is Annie. We had birthday cake, Chinese food and played Stock ticker. After two months of being separated from Anne I was very glad to have her back; two months is much to long to be separated from my best friend. Anne is a magnificent friend who I am so thankful to have in my life. I very much enjoy the excitement she brings to every situation; never a dull moment when she's around. She is a great listener and is probably the most patient person I know! She blesses all our lives just by being in it.
